Each week at Kid Zone, out staff and volunteers work hard to create a memorable and fun experience for your little ones!  We do our best to radiate the love of God in all that we do and say as we work to instill the three truths that we believe are crucial at his stage in their lives!

God Loves Me!
God Made Me!
Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever!

Babies

We know leaving your new baby for the first time can be overwhelming. The volunteers in our infant classrooms have been chosen for this age group because of their love for babies and their training to care for all of the needs of your infant. We hope the following information will help you and your baby have a great experience on Sundays.

Please label and bring:

  • Diapers
  • Bottles
  • Pacifiers

Classroom Ratios:
To ensure your baby receives the best care, we adhere to a one volunteer for every three children ratio.

Moving Up:
We have age appropriate areas for your infants through toddlers. Once your child reaches the age of two, they will move up to our 2 year-old room where they will enjoy a more structured setting.

2 Year-Olds

This is a fun and active stage in your child's life! Our teaching plan begins in our 2 year-old classrooms. All activities are age-appropriate with plenty of flexibility for the normal needs of two-year-olds.

Please read the information below to help us make sure your child’s Sundays are GREAT!

Please label and bring:

  • Diapers (if needed)
  • Toddler cups
  • Pacifiers (if needed)
  • Change of clothing

Classroom Ratios:
To ensure that your child receives the best care, we adhere to a one volunteer for every five children ratio.

Craft and Story Time:
Each week your little one will participate in fun, meaningful, and age-appropriate activities such as games, Bible story-time, worship, and crafts! Be on the look out for projects to take home!

Snack Time:
We will be serving your child a small snack during service, so please make sure we are aware of any allergies or special dietary concerns.

Potty Time:
If your child is potty training, please be sure to communicate that to the teacher and bring an extra change of clothes. Our volunteers are never alone with your child in the restroom, there is always a safety monitor to observe any interaction. If your child is in diapers, please make sure you bring one with you to service.

Moving Up:
Your child will move to the Three’s classroom on the first Sunday following their birthday!

3-5 Year-Olds

Things are starting to get busy at this stage of life. We plan to include a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughter in every experience. We look forward to helping your child learn more about God. It is our hope that every preschool child will know:

God LOVES me!
God MADE me!
Jesus wants to be my FRIEND forever!

If you would like to know what your child is learning each week, look for the weekly parent handout!

Classroom Ratios:
To ensure your child gets the best care, we adhere to a one volunteer for every seven children ratio in our three’s classroom and a one volunteer for every ten children ratio in our four/five year-olds classroom.

Craft and Story Time:
Your preschooler will participate in many age-appropriate, creative activities throughout the morning. Each week he will travel to our large group environment to learn more about God and to sing and dance as he learns to worship. When they return form large group time, your child will be served a snack and then do a craft that will help reinforce the bible story that was told that day.

If your children have any allergies or special dietary needs and cannot eat what we have provided, please let us know at check in.

Potty Time:
If your child is potty training, please be sure to communicate that to the teacher, and bring an extra change of clothes. If your child needs assistance using the restroom please be assured that our volunteers are never allowed to be alone with a child, a safety monitor is always there to observe the interaction to ensure the well-being of all involved. At this age level, we will not change any diapers. We will page you if it is needed.

Moving Up:
Your three year old will move to the Four/Five year-olds classroom on the first Sunday following their birthday! They will remain here until the summer before they enter Kindergarten, when we will have a graduation celebration to send them off to Kid City!
