Kid Zone

Babies - Pre K

about Kid Zone

Kid Zone is our area created especially for your infants through preschool-aged children. We know things are busy at this stage of life and your children are learning and growing in amazing ways. We are ready and can’t wait to meet them!

We believe in an active, hands-on approach to learning with preschool children. So, you can plan on a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughter in every experience. Be on the lookout for fun crafts!

It is our hope that your child will learn: God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever!

First Time Guests at kid zone

Kid Zone is located in the main church building, directly behind the auditorium. Our staff and volunteers work hard to create a safe and meaningful class experience. Here are a few things that will help you have a successful time on Sundays:

  • Kid Zone is divided into age appropriate groups. When you arrive, please look for the sign with your child’s age. This will be the area where you will check them in!
  • Check in begins 15 minutes before service and our friendly volunteers will be glad to help guide you through the process!
  • Please be sure to let us know of any allergies or health concerns at this time.
  • For the protection of our children, please do not bring your children to class if they exhibit any of these symptoms.

Kid City

Kindergarten - 5th Grade

about Kid City

Kid City is a unique church experience that kids can’t wait to come to each week! When you enter the Kid City building, you'll feel like you've walked into an exciting new city, with life-like buildings, stores, and props. We love to bring the fun and there's always smiles and laughter with games and activities. Worship is also a crucial part of our time together and our worship team made up of students and teens helps kids capture a heart of worship for God.

Here at Kid City there are three basic truths we want every child to grow up and say: I need to make the wise choice. I can trust God no matter what! I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

First Time Guests at kid city

Every Sunday we start our time with all ages gathered together. When you arrive, you’ll check in your child in the Kid City lobby, and we’ll help you drop them off at Kid City Liberty Theater. We use dramas, videos, and object lessons to bring the Bible to life! Then, we’ll break up into small groups (by grade and gender) where their leaders will help them see how God's word fits into their lives, to learn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last.

When it’s time to get picked up, you’ll pick them up from their classroom (which are actually called the Bakery, the Tackle Shop, and other fun city themes.)

Our volunteers in Kid Zone and Kid City are the reason our kids can encounter Jesus every time we gather. By keeping kids safe, by offering an encouraging word, and creating a fun atmosphere, our volunteers make East Hill the place kids love to be. There are many volunteer roles you can take on. In Kid Zone, you can be a Classroom Leader, help with security and check in, be a Counter Supervisor, or even be a Worship Leader and Storyteller. In Kid City, we'd love for you to take the plunge and become a Small Group Leader or join our Guest Service Team!

East Hill Church makes every effort to provide a safe place for kids. Volunteers are required to have a current background check, a reference check, and complete the Child and Youth Protection Training.

More about Kid Zone & Kid City

Classroom Safety

Your child's safety is our number one priority. All classrooms, toys, and equipment are safe and age appropriate. We also uphold a strict check-in and check-out system to ensure that kids come and go safely and our security cameras record all classroom activity. All our volunteers go through a detailed screening process and criminal background check to ensure they are safe to be with your children.

Check In Process

Our church uses a database called Planning Center Online. To check your child in, we'll need to assist you in creating a profile in this database which will include your family's names and information. This means that your first time checking in will take a little longer. After that, each time you check your child in we'll print a name tag with an ID number for them to wear. Parents will receive a tag with the corresponding ID number which will need to be turned in at pick-up time.

Parent Cue App

We also want to encourage parents to download the Parent Cue appThis app provides parents with simple cues that correlate with the monthly virtue we teach at Kid City. These cues remind parents throughout the week to pause and make the most out of every day with your kids.
